Event Description

Prayer vigils set for June 16th at the following locations:
1. J.C. Nichols Fountain on the plaza-5-6 PM.
2. Goeman Fountain at North Oak and Vivion Road in the Northland. 5-6PM.
3. Redemptorist Church- Mass in church and vigil in the grotto on corner of Broadway and Linwood. 11-12AM
4. St. Francis Xavier Church in St. Joseph 6-7PM.
5. Sisters of St. Francis Motherhouse in Savannah, Mo. 7-8PM.
Currently there is a stay of execution for Reggie Clemons as his case is reviewed by the 8th Circuit Court. Depending on the outcome the prayer vigils will either be thanksgiving services for the stay of execution and prayers for the end to the death penalty in Missouri, or if the stay is lifted prayers for a final clemency.
