On May 6, 2014 over 300 people traveled to Jefferson City to stand up for human dignity and the rights of all individuals to be fairly represented within the legislature. We went with a message and that message was delivered. We stood up for changing the conversation, and making dignity and respect for all a part of the legislative process, and as a result we shut down the assembly. Rep. Ellington reports the child sexual abuse bill made it out of committee. This law will bring justice to many people. Our thanks go out to Rep. Brandon Ellington and the committee. The Governor of North Carolina has signed the pardon for Wayne Moore and the Wilmington Ten.
