Understanding causes of criminal activity, and the cost of incarceration.

In August 2003 Gail Russell Chaddock staff writer for the Christian Science Monitor stated more than 5.6 million American's are in prison or have served time there, according to a report by the Justice Department. PEW Report finds more than one in 100 adults are behind bars.
